From time to time the Club is asked to assist in the placement of older Gordons.

These may have been surrendered by the previous owners for a number of different reasons or may have been found and not claimed by the owner.

If you are interested in giving an older Gordon a home then this may be for you.

Healthy dogs that reflect the correct breed type and are sound in temperament and body are the aim of all dedicated dog breeders. To assist responsible Gordon Setter breeders the Club maintains an online Health Register on this website which includes the results of testing for Progressive Retinal Atrophy, Hip Dysplasia and Elbow Dysplasia. Check it out now. There are also articles explaining each of the above conditions. If you are considering buying a puppy, check the information on the website and discuss the issues with the breeder.

Planning is well underway for the bonanza of dog shows for Gordons in Sydney at Easter 2012. Once again all setters will be judged on Good Friday, the Setter Club of NSW will hold a show on Easter Saturday and the Club will hold two Championship shows on Easter Sunday. It's a great opportunity to have a good look at the breed and to talk to breeders. More details will be available soon.
